TREKKING CAMINO DE MURRINGO

El Camino the Murringo was created in the 20th century, once the thousand war days was over. Today, this trail is also the main entrance to Rio Verde de los Montes, passing through the township known as Vereda Manzanares Arriba.

You will be hiking a section of Camino de Murringo starting from Vereda Manzanares Arriba, in a place known as “La Bodega”, up to Puente Murringo (Murringo Bridge).  The trail now turns into a loose rock pathway, all the way to Vereda Santa Rosa Township. This is a very different section of Camino the Murringo, especially compared with the Paramo and East Slope sections, where the cobblestone is necessary to keep the mules on track and prevent accidents.
